Announcements

If you interested in participating in the homeschool co-op this fall, please use this survey to tell us about your family’s needs and preferences: https://form.jotform.com/211395991161156. Not all of the fields are required, so you only need to complete the ones that are applicable to you.  We will have a planning meeting after trapeza on June 27th.

We still need a volunteer who is willing and able to assist our parish treasurer.

If you would like to donate to cover the cost of students attending Summer Camp, we have 4 children who need scholarships, and they are $305.00 each.

St. Jonah Fine Arts Summer Day Camp: The camp dates/time: July 19- July 23rd (Mon.-Fr.), 9 am- 3pm. There will be 4 groups, with the same age groups as the Sunday school: Toddlers (2-4), Children (5-7), Children (8-12), Teens (13+). Day camp activities include: morning prayers, icon painting, singing, games, crafts, Orthodox discussion for older kids, snack and lunch. Children from St. Jonah’s and from other parishioners are welcomed to join. To enroll your children, please fill out a simple form: https://forms.gle/F2B5Mapo4rGASebQ8

The Children’s Choir sang at Trapeza on Pentecost: https://youtu.be/ZVGDEKonb_g

Houston Balalaika Orchestra will be performing during Trapeza on Sunday, June 27th.

The Reader Class will be meeting on Saturday, June 26th, at 3:30 p.m. in the parish house.

The next Bible Study on the book of Daniel will be on Tuesday, June 29th, at 7:00 p.m. at the parish hall. We will be discussing Daniel 10. For those who want to participate remotely, they can login at this link at that time: https://meet.google.com/nmn-crsp-xkf

The next Parish Council Meeting will be on Thursday, July 22nd, at 7:00 p.m.

Fasting in the Coming week: The Apostles’ Fast begins on Monday, June 28th. On Monday, June 28th; Tuesday, June 29th; Friday, July 2nd; Saturday, July 3rd; and Sunday, July 4th, fish, wine, and oil are permitted. Wednesday, June 30th, is a normal fast day.
