Announcements

St. Jonah Fine Arts Summer Day Camp: The camp dates/time: July 19- July 23rd (Mon.-Fr.), 9 am- 3pm. There will be 4 groups, with the same age groups as the Sunday school: Toddlers (2-4), Children (5-7), Children (8-12), Teens (13+). Day camp activities include: morning prayers, icon painting, singing, games, crafts, Orthodox discussion for older kids, snack and lunch. Children from St. Jonah’s and from other parishioners are welcomed to join. To enroll your children, please fill out a simple form: https://forms.gle/F2B5Mapo4rGASebQ8

We will take a Special Collection for the Lubbock Mission this Sunday.

The Reader Class will be meeting on Saturday, July 10th, at 3:30 p.m. in the parish house.

The next Bible Study on the book of Daniel will be on Tuesday, July 13th, at 7:00 p.m. at the parish hall. We will be discussing Daniel 11, beginning at verse 20. For those who want to participate remotely, they can login at this link at that time: https://meet.google.com/cue-frgn-gcu

The next Parish Council Meeting will be on Thursday, July 22nd, at 7:00 p.m.

The next Slavonic Liturgy will be Saturday, July 17th, at 9:00 a.m.

Sisterhood News: Rosa Mahand’s Daughter-in-Law is making fresh pasta on a homemade Pomodoro Sauce without meat.  She will be delivering it to the church Saturday afternoon and it will be for sale this Sunday. They are being prepared specially for the Apostles fast. They will be $6.00 per container ($4.00 her cost/$2 for the Sisterhood). These will be in individual containers designed as one meal so anyone can purchase them.

Bookstore News: We have more copies of the Old Rite Prayer Book in, and have Fr. Daniel Sysoev’s Law of God, back in stock.
