Stump the Priest: Question: “Since the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), and the Moscow Patriarchate (MP) have reconciled, why is it that we still have three jurisdictions of Russian origin in the US. We still have ROCOR, we have parishes that are still part of the MP, and we have the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) which was granted a Tomos of Autocephaly by the MP. Aside from all of the historical past disagreements and associated negative “reasons” for why these jurisdictions came into being, is anything being done to unite these three jurisdictions?” Click here for the Answer.

Announcements
We will have a special collection for a Ukrainian woman who is unemployed, has an infant, and is in need.
Our next Parish Council meeting will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, at 7:00 p.m. Meeting are currently being held via the internet.
In the month of July we will have one extra liturgy each week. We will only restrict the liturgy on Saturday, July 25th to those who have concerns about the Coronavirus, but attendance at weekday and Saturday Liturgies is normally less 25 people, and so for those concerned about avoiding crowds, these liturgies are all good options.
We need some more volunteers for the rotation of cleaning the Church. If you would like to help, please let Fr. John Whiteford know.
