Stump the Priest: “Is the idea of a “fallen nature” a later Western concept that was foreign to the early Fathers? If I remember correctly, I’ve seen prominent Orthodox theologians use the term “fallen nature”. But also I think I’ve seen other prominent theologians say that the term is a later Western concept that was foreign to the Fathers, and that its usage is incorrect. What is your opinion on this topic?” Click here for the Article.

Announcements
We have used Yahoo Groups to send out announcements and prayer requests to the parish for many years, but Yahoo Groups is going away. We are starting a new group for the same purpose, and if you would like to join, you can do so by sending a message to: saintjonah+subscribe@groups.io or by going to https://groups.io/g/saintjonah/
We will have a restricted Liturgy for those who are trying to avoid large crowds or keeping quarantine due to the Coronavirus, on Saturday, January 2nd at 9:00 a.m.
Please be aware that we currently do not have natural gas in the parish house, which means that the stove will not work until we are able to get a new gas line in place, however, we are getting closer to having that problem resolved. Hopefully within the next two weeks.
